when people do these “gift guide stocking stuffer posts” with one gift totaling $100, it kinda makes me think. i mean, really. i come from an upper middle class family, and i can safely say i have not received multiple stocking stuffers at that cost. it’s a stocking stuffer. i always thought that was little fun gifts that you get a lot of. no?

is this something normal i’ve been missing out on my whole life? because really, i mean, i sure could come up with those things i want, but do people really do that?

then again, this is also coming from the girl who sees posts on shoes like purple suede booties which cost $500, and someone buys them to wear with an outfit. Or a pair of maternity leggings that you will probably fit into for 3 months and pay hundreds of dollars for them, only to throw them out and never wear again because they won’t fit you, and probably won’t be in style when you could wear them again. but more pressing than that, i wonder, is why the hell would you spend $500 on purple suede bootie louboutins? sure, maybe a pair of peep toes, or nice heels, but purple suede? REALLY?!

I mean, I have nice things. But the nice things I purchase are timeless. Maybe that’s my issue. I don’t know. maybe i’m just a snarky bitch over here who’s all about my classic/preppy style and i don’t know “fashion.”

but just curious, am I the only one that thinks this?
